A calculation for the strength and stiffness of a removable grip with a geometric closure for moving and turning ellipsoid bottoms of the steam generator is presented. The proposed design solution will improve the safety of operation of nuclear power plant hull equipment and reduce the labor and material consumption of technological equipment by eliminating the welded load-handling and installation elements
