  • Studies of air pollution by fine dust in park areas adjacent to motorways

The purpose of author's researches - assessment of level of pollution by fine particles (PM10, PM5, PM2.5, PM1, PM0.5) of atmospheric air in territories of parks in Volgograd. Due to the fact that the parks operate year-round, research was carried out in the winter, spring-autumn and summer periods of the year. Research, in particular, was carried out in two parks located in the central part of Volgograd, where there are no industrial enterprises, and are adjacent to one of the largest city highways. Analysis of the particulate composition and mass concentration of fine dust in atmospheric air was performed using microscopic analysis and using Handheld 3016. At the same time, the temperature and relative humidity of the air, wind speed and atmospheric pressure were measured. Measurements were made in places with the largest concentration of visitors to the park at an altitude of 0.5 m, 1 m and 1.5 m, i.e. in the breathing zone of children, adolescents and adults. In the air environment on the territory of the surveyed park zones of Volgograd, there is no excess of the MPC in the atmospheric air for suspended matter RI2.5 observed, but there are cases of significant excess of the average annual and average daily MPC for RM10 particles.

Keywords: atmospheric air, park area, fine dust, maximum permissible concentration (MAC), dispersed composition

  • Assessment of air pollution of roadside territories of transport highways

The article assesses the impact of road transport on air pollution of roadside areas of a major transport highway in Volgograd. The road-car complex makes a significant contribution to air pollution by solid particles, significantly exceeding the background value. One of the criteria for assessing the impact of dust particles on the air environment according to the World Health Organization is the mass content of particles with a diameter of less than 10 microns (PM10) and 2.5 microns (PM2.5) in atmospheric air, which is normalized in the territory of the Russian Federation by hygienic standards. The fractional composition of dust particles entering the atmospheric air was assessed by the Microtrac S3500 laser particle analyzer, the concentration by the Lighthouse 3016-IAQ particle counter. The results of the dispersion analysis are presented in the form of the Rosin–Rammler–Sperling–Bennett function of the volume distribution of particles over diameters.

  • On the impact of urban planning decisions and green gas protection zones on the air quality of the mainline territories

The article raises an urgent problem for large cities - the fight against the negative consequences of road transport. The importance of urban planning measures to reduce the accumulation of emissions, as well as green spaces to reduce the concentration of dust content of harmful substances in urban areas is considered. The data of CO concentration near the mainline territories in 95 studied points were analyzed.

Keywords: road transport, dust, gas-protected green areas, leaves, green spaces

  • On the features of laboratory studies of dust in the air near industrial enterprises

Laboratory equipment necessary for studying the fractional composition of dust in the air of an industrial enterprise and at the border of its sanitary protection zone is proposed. harmful substances, as well as determine the dispersion of dust emitted into the air. the organization and development of new products on existing production sites.

  • Comparative analysis of air pollution by fine dust of the atmosphere of Volgograd and Kabul

The article presents a study of the existing practices of the use of toll roads on Federal highways of the Russian Federation, with the designation of the main advantages of users of toll roads and road facilities defined primarily by saving operating costs (transport costs) when traveling on a toll road, by reducing the consumption of fuels and lubricants, tire wear, repair costs and costs for other items of operating costs, and also saving of time of delivery of freights and passengers increase of comfort and safety of the movement

Keywords: a toll road, the toll gate, efficiency, savings, vehicle, the alternative road

  • "Comparative analysis of air pollution by fine dust of the atmosphere of Volgograd and Kabul "

The article presents a comparative analysis of dust pollution of atmospheric air of Volgograd and the city of Kabul. Given the dynamics of changes in the concentration of fine dust in the course of the year for these cities, and also investigated the characteristics of the concentration distribution

Keywords: air, fine dust, PM10, PM2,5, concentrations, meteorological parameters, normal distribution, logarithmic-normal distribution law

  • On the study of air pollution fine dust using the apparatus of random functions

The article reviews questions about description disperse composition and concentration of dust using the theory of stationary random functions. This approach allows us not only to obtain the characteristics of disperse composition of dust in the air, but also determine the number of additional parameters, namely, the average residence time fractional concentration above a predetermined level, the average number of outputs fractional concentration per unit time for a fixed level. Examples of correlation functions that can be used to approximate empirical data in the case of stationary процесс are submitted.

  • Analysis of experience of monitoring fine-particulate air pollution of roadside territories of the European Union countries and Russia

The article reviews the three methods of assessment of vehicle exhaust gases in the countries of the European Union. In the first method fuel as an indicator of the transportation activity is used in combination with the average emission coefficient. The second method accounts for the fuel consumption of different types of vehicles and their emission standards. The third method allows for calculating exhaust gas emissions in combination with technical data and data on transport activity. The article presents equations to calculate the exhaust gas omission for each method and reviews examples of the particulate matter characteristics of the emissions of passenger and freight transport. The article also proposes the use of a log-normal law for dependence of transition of number of particles to integral functions on mass distribution of particles by diameter.

  • "Applicability of the balance method for summary calculations of the dispersion of emissions into the atmosphere "

The most important problem of the city is that of economic entities with emission sources, developing projects of maximum permissible emissions (MPE) on their own sources of emissions, and the effect of summation of pollutants from all sources combined into the atmosphere of the city today moment, unfortunately, has not been investigated. An inventory of sources of emission of pollutants into the air, the optimization of observation posts and conduct the calculation of the dispersion of pollutants in Volgograd help to display detailed picture of air pollution in the city. Some problems in the development of a consolidated draft MPE invited to use the balance sheet liability method of pollutants in the city.
