As a result of the conducted research, the structure of production workers professional-qualifying staff forming system at cars repair was identified. Interaction regularities of the system elements were determined. The obtained results allow creating an imitating model for production workers professional-qualifying staff optimization. That model lets disclose regularities of various factors’ influence on production workers professional-qualifying staff of maintenance and repair areas of transport enterprises. The imitating model was created as a computer software. The practical use of the obtained results helps decrease the expenses on staff training and loss caused by insufficient qualification of repair workers.

One of the conditions of reducing the transport work cost is management of the automobile elements life on the basis of objective standards. In the conducted research, forming of the automobile elements life, according to seasonal variations of operational rate and conditions, is considered. A method of correcting coefficients determination was developed; it was based on estimated deterioration for each month, derived from the average deterioration rate of the friction linings and automobile running per month. Calculation of correction factors was carried out with the use of the imitating model. The obtained results allow modelling the braking system elements life, taking into account seasonal unevenness of requirement of them. Using that information, it is possible to correct spare parts requirement and, accordingly, to reduce cars downtime while waiting to be repaired, as well as volume of stocks.

On the basis of the conducted research, a theoretical and practical task of reducing repair costs was solved, by determining the regularities of performers qualification influence on repair works productivity and quality. Optimization of repair staff vocational structure involves the use of an imitating model to perform calculations for a specific enterprise. For practical use, a software product «Staff_Qualif_Level» was developed. With the use of that imitating model, the second kind regularities can be obtained: an impact of various factors on the vocational structure of repair staff, according to the minimum cost of cars and repair area downtime. The practical value of the research results consists in the development of the software and method of determination of the optimal repair staff vocational structure, the use of which provides for repair costs reduction.
